Soft. Not bad for a white
Absolute pleasure. Deep yellow gold in color, nose with flowers and sweet lemon, almost mandarin. Taste with notes of pear, melon, honey. Pleasant aftertaste with bitter sweetness of buckwheat honey. And very smooth, low acidic, absolutely natural.
Pale gold. Nose of fresh ripe melon and pears and lychee. In mouth it is slightly unctuous and tropical, pineapple, apple, peach, tutti frutti. Medium acidity. A lively well balanced wine. Great with spicy food. Dry, abv 13.
Thanksgiving wine. Not as spicy as most Gewurzes we drink. Recommended for eating with Turkey. Would’ve been a good match, tho we wound up trying a Chard instead.
This is a very aromatic wine, with scents of white fruit, roses, and honey. The taste is floral and slightly sweet, with notes of pear and citrus fruit.
The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and elegant, with a long and persistent finish.
This wine pairs well with shellfish and fish generally, and also Asian foods. It represented my first taste of a Northern Italy Gewürztraminer wine, and it definitely was a good place to start. Cheers!
